Masonic Music Ritual

Many Freemasons have written or adapted music for use in our ceremonies. Famous composers such as Mozart and Sibelius have contributed to this tradition, as have many amateur musicians seeking to embellish our codified ritual work.

Sadly, as with the rest of society, live music seems to be becoming a dying art. Fewer children are receiving practical musical education, and pre-recorded music has replaced the performing musician.

To remedy this in some small way, True Blue Lodge is now in process of forming its own choir, using material first published by the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario (Masonic Musical ritual for The Ceremonials of Craft Degrees). It is our intention to supplement these songs with other music as seems appropriate.
